ILT Velodrome

New Zealand’s first and only 250m International Indoor Cycling Velodrome was officially opened in May 2006 by Prime Minister Rt Hon. Helen Clark and has been in use everyday since then.

It is a world class and unique multi-purpose, multi-user facility and the ideal venue for sporting events, exhibitions and even variety shows.  It has permanent seating for 1064 and views are available all around the fully carpeted concourse.

In the middle of the International track it has a pillarless flat floor area of 2195m² comprising of four full size multi-sport courts with Rebound Ace surface (as used at the Melbourne Australian Open).  Motorised nets surround the courts which allow for the track and courts to be utilised at the same time.

Hire marquees could also be erected here to create a special atmosphere for banquets, wedding receptions and birthday parties and can be heated with our mobile gas heaters, and we have enough carpet available to cover the whole flat floor area.
