It is home to an array of sporting organisations and utilised by all sectors of the Southland community – recreational, sporting, cultural, corporate and entertainment of all genres.
A diverse range of internationally-acclaimed shows – from Hi 5 to Billy Connolly – have performed in the complex, which has also hosted numerous national and provincial events, including craft shows, boat shows, exhibitions and trade shows, corporate seminars, Americana and the Vero Rally.
The global sporting spotlight shines on netball, basketball and badminton Tests, along with Davis Cup tennis and international cycling fixtures.
We are staunchly parochial and relish any opportunity to provide the Southland public with a unique experience, from musical theatre shows to the annual CCS Christmas Tree Festival.
Ideally located in the heart of the Surrey Park Sports Centre, Stadium Southland is just 10 minutes from Invercargill Airport and five minutes from the city centre’s shops, restaurants and cafes.
A wide range of accommodation options are nearby and there is ample car parking on site.
