On Saturday, September 18, the roof of Stadium Southland collapsed following a heavy snowfall in Invercargill, the likes of which has not been seen in the province for decades. Thankfully, no one was injured. The adjacent ILT Velodrome and SBS Sports House emerged unscathed.

The devastation has shattered Stadium Southland management and staff, sporting groups, numerous users and the Southland community.

But from adversity comes opportunity. Plans to rebuild Stadium Southland are already underway with a tentative timeline for completion in 2012.

Our staff are in the process of contacting any affected parties who had bookings at Stadium Southland. We are now located in the ILT Velodrome and can still be contacted on our usual details.
