Waihopai City Lions Southland Christmas Tree Festival

Its coming up to the festive season and that means that it is just about time for the Waihopai City Lions Southland Christmas Tree Festival!

This year it is only $50 to enter and we would love you to help us reach our goal of 50 trees – twice as big as last years festival!

How it works:

Step 1: Choose a charity that you would like to support

Step 2: Get those creative juices flowing and come up with an idea of how you will decorate your tree. You can be as extravagant or traditional as you like!

Step 3: Trees are chosen on a first in first served basis. You come along on the pack in days below and get decorating. You are supplied with one standard Christmas Tree, one set of fairy lights & one plug point (you will need to supply your own multi-box if you are using more than just one set of lights) the rest is up to you!

Step 4: Tell all your friends & family to come through the festival and vote for your tree! The festival is open to the public from Tuesday 1st December. It is free to come through however anyone wanting to vote for their favourite tree will need to pay a gold coin donation on entry.

At the end of the festival (December 23rd) all votes will be counted and the Charity associated with the winning Christmas Tree will be given half of the total of money that was taken in by the festival. The remaining money will be split between Charities of the Christmas Trees that can in 2nd & 3rd.

Cost: It's been a difficult year so for this year it will only be $50 per tree (Usually $150 per tree). This will be invoiced by the Waihopai City Lions with the details provided on the registration form below.
